Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium

Looking at it from the outside you wouldn't expect much from Seattle Aquarium, but once you enter, surprised you will be indeed. Seattle Aquarium not only contains really unique habitats, it also has some of the best exhibit designs I have ever seen! Everything from it's naturalistic touch tank to it's massive underwater dome, there is something that pleases everyone at Seattle Aquarium!

Overlook from the edge of glory

Alcid aviaries are a sight to behold, and the aviary at Point Defiance Z&A is no exception! Though quite small, this aviary is extremely tall, which is perfect for these clumsy fliers! Seeing puffins like this horned puffin jump from 30 feet into the frigid waters of their pool is a complete joy and I'd recommend it to anyone who hasn't had the pleasure to see these birds in action! As for Horned Puffins as a species, these guys are very commonly seen on the Pacific coast of the US alongside Common Murres and Tufted Puffins, which are equally as fantastic.

Evening in the Depths- Juvenile China Rockfish

The Coscoroba Swan is a small species of waterfowl native to South America. In Woodland Park Zoo, they are housed at the temperate forest section in the same exhibit as the Chilean Flamingos (another South American species).
