So, you want to learn about me...

My name is Luiz Stern, I am a Washington based photographer who specializes in photographing the flora and fauna of wherever I find myself. I have a deep and burning passion for animal husbandry and conservation, and keep an assortment of fish, two parakeets and a cute lil dog. With my photography, I want to show people how fascinating and beautiful nature can be, whether it is found in our own backyards, a zoological/botanical facility, or in the middle of the wilderness!

In the old days of this site, I uploaded unedited photos into large, collage style galleries, and although the old way was great, I've made quite a few changes!  For starters, most if not all of my photos are edited now, giving them a much clearer and more dramatic appearance. Second, new page layouts. This was important to me because I wanted the galleries to be better organized with the information they presented. Third, differentiations between the different types of photos I take, this is more of a quality-of-life change for the site so that you don't have to scroll through all the galleries to be able to access just one.  There is also a new section called Meet the Locals!. This page features photographers that I have connections with so that they not only get recognition, but can help bring together other artists into one central hub.
